Job Summary :

A Gynecologist and Obstetrician (OB/GYN) is a medical specialist responsible for providing comprehensive care to women of all ages, from adolescence through menopause. Their duties encompass both gynecology (the study and treatment of female reproductive system disorders) and obstetrics (the management of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care).

 

Job Details :

Key Responsibilities: Patient Care and Examination: Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and relevant diagnostic tests. Diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecological conditions, such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, infertility, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Obstetric Care: Provide prenatal care to pregnant women, monitoring fetal development and the health of the mother. Manage labor and delivery, including assisting with childbirth, performing cesarean sections when necessary, and addressing complications. Family Planning: Offer contraception counseling, prescribing birth control methods, and providing family planning advice. Assist in managing fertility concerns and infertility treatments. Surgical Procedures: Perform various gynecological surgeries, such as hysterectomies, myomectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and minimally invasive surgeries. Address abnormal cervical or uterine findings through colposcopy or hysteroscopy. Screening and Preventive Care: Conduct routine screenings, including Pap smears, breast exams, and mammograms, to detect early signs of cancer or abnormalities. Administer HPV vaccinations and advise on cancer prevention. Gynecologic Oncology: Specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological cancers, including ovarian, cervical, and uterine cancers.

 

 

 

 

Key Skills :

Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and completion of a residency program in obstetrics and gynecology. Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology. State medical license or registration to practice as an OB/GYN. Strong clinical skills, including
